In March of 2019, Southern States Management Group, Inc. (SSMG) celebrated our 30th year working throughout Volusia and Flagler Counties. As a local, family owned community management firm, our leadership team decided to create a private Foundation for the purpose of improving the standard of living for those in need in the immediate areas. With specific emphasis on transitional and permanent housing, physical and mental wellness, social stability and educational opportunity, The Foundation raises much needed funds annually for charitable organizations in Volusia and Flagler County.
This year, the Group hosted their popular Golf Classic again on April 12, 2021. Last year The Foundation was able to donate $30,000 to Family Renew and this year, the team at SSMG was proud to donate $35,000 to Family Life Center in Flagler County.
Family Life Center was established in 1987 and their goals are to provide temporary refuge to any adult and any accompanying minor or dependent adult, to educate the community on the issues of violence in our society, to publicize the availability of the services of the corporation to the public and to maintain a commitment to break the cycle of violence that is perpetuated from generation to generation by maintaining an Outreach Program for children.
